The visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines has made an
impact to our fellow Filipinos especially to the Roman Catholics. They seem to
be happy and blessed of the coming of the Pope. I use to be a Roman catholic
before and I also feel what they feel when Pope John Paul visited in the
Philippines before. Before I was converted or became a Christian I thought the Pope
has the power and even worthy to be worshiped. As we all know before that the
people want to get closer to the pope in order to kiss his hand, and they think
they are being blessed by that Pope. I cannot refrain myself in thinking
critical in this visit because I am thinking of the purpose why this pope came
in the Philippines. I heard from the people that one of the reason why Pope
Francis will come and visit Philippines because he wants to visit the victims of
the super typhoon in eastern Visayas. Also I heard that he want to encourage
the people to go to church, because I heard that the member of the Roman Catholic
were decreasing. I don’t know if it is true but I think it is one of the
reasons why he will visit here in our country. I appreciated the dedication of
Pope Francis in coming here; I know how hard it is to visit in other places
because it has many things to prepare but one thing that I dislike is that they
are not honest they are not telling the truth, what they are teaching is not
biblical. They are teaching something that is not found in the word of God.
Also I don’t like they way they act as if they are the king and as if they have
the power to control everything. I will be appreciating the pope if he will not
let the people kiss his hand when he comes here in our country this week. If I
were the pope I will tell the people to respect the Lord more than me, because
I observe from the Roman Catholic leaders that they want to be served not to serve people.
For me right now is not to follow what they are showing to us.
